We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Checkpoint and Proofpoint technologies. This permanent, Brisbane-based role requires working on-site the majority of the time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security and be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect our organization's information assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement: Develop and deploy network security solutions using Checkpoint and Proofpoint.
  • Manage Security Systems: Monitor and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and email security gateways.
  • Incident Response: Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Policy Development: Create and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT teams to integrate security measures.
  • Training: Support junior team members and conduct security awareness training.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of network security experience, focusing on Checkpoint and Proofpoint.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CCSE, Proofpoint Certified Administrator, CISSP.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Project management skills.


Compensation:

  • Salary: $140k to $150k plus superannuation, with potential increase for exceptional candidates.
