We are currently recruiting for multiple Service Desk Officers (Lvl 1 / Lvl 2) in both day rate contract and 12-month fixed term capacities.

Service Desk Officer (12-month fixed term to transition into permanent position)


This position is working for a private sector organisation currently going through substantial growth, due to this growth they are looking for additional support in their ICT Support team.

This role will be an initial 12-month fixed term contract with the view to transition into a permanent position thereafter.


In this role you will be responsible for:
Logging, monitoring and resolving support calls via service desk;
Escalation of support requests as required;
Administration of Adds/Moves/Changes across different software systems;
Maintaining relationships with stakeholders;
Troubleshoot issues related to Systems, Applications, Software, Hardware or Networking;
Adhere to SLAs with a strong customer focus; and

An ability to prepare and deliver high quality end user training / support material.

About you

3+ years working in IT Support role;
Experience with ticketing system such as HALO or similar;
Eager to learn & develop;
Solid Understanding of Microsoft 365 capabilities;
General IT awareness and ability to recognise problems and solutions independently; and

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Level 1 / Level 2 Service Desk Officer (6-month hourly rate contract)

Resolve business-as-usual requests and incidents assigned to the ICT Service Desk. Tasks are managed based on defined SLAs and following ITIL processes;
Provide face to face support to staff within the organisation and consistently display the organisations values, ensuring that these are upheld at all levels of the organisation;
Support end user environments and supporting technology hardware;
Windows 11;
Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc);
Be knowledgeable and have practical experience in administration of:
Microsoft Windows Server 2016;
Active Directory / Group Policy Objects;
Virtualisation (VMWare);
Windows 10;
Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Intune, etc);
Supporting technologies for cloud such as Firewall, Identity, etc;
Follow procedures to support business-as-usual tasks, election specific project activities and technology deployments;
Develop operational policies, practises and system documentation;
Take part in various technology deployment projects to support continual improvement and election event activities;
Plan and deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions dealing with a range of technology vendors and suppliers; and


Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the department's business activities, ICT environment and developments and trends in information technology.
