2 x Customer Service Officers - NSW Government

  • Immediate start - Initial 6 month contract with potential extension
  • Full time position from Monday to Friday

This presents a fantastic chance to collaborate with the Government department in Sydney CBD, offering a blend of office and remote work flexibility.

We seek exceptional Customer Service Officers with a strong customer focus, organizational skills, and drive to be part of a temporary team (with possible long-term opportunities). You will work within the Complaints and Resolution division, surrounded by a supportive and friendly group.

This is a contractual position, requiring individuals who can quickly adapt to new environments, handle a fast-paced training, and hit the ground running. Prior experience in a similar call center role is advantageous.

About the Role:

  • Answer incoming calls from complainants and direct them to the appropriate contacts or teams after gathering necessary information
  • Represent the department professionally as the initial point of contact for callers, including managing difficult situations
  • Focus on ensuring complaints reach the relevant team/contact instead of directly resolving them
  • Stay informed about policy changes, handle customer data with confidentiality, and maintain accurate records and databases

Skills/Experience:

As the primary contact for the organization, providing top-notch customer service with honesty, fairness, sensitivity, and dignity is crucial.

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or call center roles
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast-paced settings
  • High level of professionalism and advanced computer proficiency
  • Previous contact center experience is a plus
