Our client is an agency within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The Portfolio Manager's role is a contract presenting an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic and impactful role at the EL1 or EL2 based on experience.

Initially a six-month contract, it will be reviewed for extension to June 2025 dependent on the individual's ability to fulfil their duties to a satisfactory level.

Major responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Lead the oversight and coordination of a portfolio of programmes and work with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Foster stakeholder relationships, collaboration and communication to ensure projects are aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and contribute to executive reporting briefs with analytical and problemsolving skills to achieve outcomes and support decisions.
  • Lead the compliance and auditing of portfolio risks, issues, with sensitivity under limited guidance.

Selection Criteria:

  • Formal qualifications and/or a minimum of 5 years' experience with portfolio management and governance frameworks, supported by best practices with regards to the program and project methodologies.
  • Strong digital literacy awareness and confidence in the use of digital tools to solve problems, be productive, and collaborate with others in a digital environment.
  • The ability to perform, adjust and excel in a highperforming team and fastpaced and highprofile environment.
  • Welldeveloped written and oral communication skills, and an ability to communicate complex and technical concepts succinctly.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative with resilience, and ability to manage competing and changing priorities while contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake work with a high level of complexity and sensitivity under limited guidance
