About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for the iconic Swan River Crossings project in Fremantle, Western Australia. This role involves procurement, contract administration, and optimizing margins while managing commercial risks.
About the ProjectThe Swan River Crossings Project is one of Main Roads WA's most complex endeavors, covering road, port, freight, river, walking, cycling, heritage, and environmental aspects.
The project will replace the aging Fremantle Traffic Bridge with Australia's first extradosed bridge, creating a striking gateway to Fremantle. The Fremantle Bridges Alliance comprises Arup, WSP, and Laing O'Rourke, working in partnership with Main Roads WA.
Project Objectives:
- Replace the existing Fremantle Traffic Bridge.
- Provide safe pedestrian and cycling infrastructure over the Swan River.
- Improve marine safety and navigational clearances.
- Incorporate European and Aboriginal heritage in design.
- Manage the project's commercial aspects.
- Provide accurate and timely project cost reports.
- Maintain productivity while prioritizing safety.
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Pursuing or obtained MRICS.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of contract management, financial control, risk management, and budget administration.
