The Department of Treasury and Finance provides economic, financial and resource management advice to help the Victorian Government deliver its policies. We strive for excellence in financial and economic management to improve the lives of all Victorians.

Economic Group

The Economic Group supports the Government in growing employment, living standards and economic activity. The Group advises on employment, productivity growth, macroeconomic conditions and strategy, energy, climate change and decarbonisation, industry development, business innovation, transport policy, and land use planning.

This includes providing advice on inclusively growing jobs and living standards, responding to inflation, and reducing the emissions-intensity of the Victorian economy.

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Director to lead our Economic Group, offering an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact over a five-year period. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary of the Economic Division, the position sits on the divisional leadership team and oversees four executive reports.

In the role you will provide influential advice to Ministers and Government to shape policy, implement the Government's agenda, and enact positive change. You will build your team's culture and capability in line with DTF's values, and contribute to the strategic leadership of DTF.
