This role will form part of our newly created team, Safe Space.

Safe Space is responsible for providing independent, compassionate and human - centred support to allegations of misconduct, including sexual harassment.

As a Safe Space Manager, you will be responsible for receiving reports or disclosures by employees who may have experienced workplace misconduct, including sexual harassment, and supporting employees through the relevant processes associated with these disclosures

This will include:

  • Providing trauma informed support to employees who make a report or disclosure
  • Enacting interventions to ensure the employee is supported and informed throughout all relevant processes
  • Connecting employees to the relevant complaint processes associated with these disclosures
  • Connecting employees to the appropriate specialist services to provide ongoing support
  • Supporting other Group Health and wellbeing initiatives designed to create a safe and inclusive culture


The role is situated within the Qantas Health and Wellbeing team, and is designed to improve the reporting culture for workplace misconduct, including the complex and sensitive risks associated with workplace misconduct.


What you'll bring to the role:

  • 7+ years' experience in a specific role relating to sexual assault/ sexual harassment
  • Qualification for the role as a Registered Psychologist, or with a tertiary Degree or Equivalent in Social Work or Counselling
  • Experience in traumainformed approaches for supporting those impacted by Workplace Sexual Assault or Sexual Harassment.
  • Understanding of reporting and complaint processes and experience providing advice on the management of disclosures and reports of Workplace Sexual Assault or Sexual Harassment within a large, complex organization
  • Ability to analyse, observe and reporting on common themes, risks, and trends occurring in the space of traumabased events, and cases presenting to the Safe Space Reporting process
  • Maintain knowledge of Legislative and Policy Frameworks pertaining to Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment (and other relevant legislation pertaining to workplace misconduct).
