About the role:

  • To maintain, enhance and develop the City's open space areas ensuring that these facilities are recognised by the Community as high standard facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performance of a broad range of Parks unit related tasks using developed skills, performing this work within general guidelines.
  • This position may assist others in supervision of Parks unit related work in same or lower band particularly where provision of onthejob training based upon skills and experience is required.
  • Working in a team environment under general supervision the position is responsible for assuring the quality and timelines of work performed.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of Parks Unit related plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner including undertaking routine daily maintenance of minor plant and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work diligently and enthusiastically with mínimal supervision in order to meet desired service outcomes within nominated schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment including high levels of reliability and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with the public in a clear and courteous manner, in order to present a positive image for Council, with a strong focus for customer service excellence.
