The Role

The APS6 Evaluation Officer will play a critical role in assisting with the development and implementation of key program guidelines, assessment frameworks, and governance arrangements.

This position involves engagement with stakeholders, including state governments and communities. The role includes the development of new policy proposals, cabinet submissions, briefings, correspondence, research reports, and various program-related documents.

Duties:

  • Assist with the development of program guidelines, assessment frameworks, evaluation frameworks, and governance arrangements.
  • Develop New Policy Proposals and Cabinet Submissions.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including State Governments and communities, to gather input and build consensus.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Executive, Minister, and interjurisdictional committees.
  • Develop comprehensive briefings, correspondence, and research reports.
  • Prepare discussion papers, program reporting, and assessment documents.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in program evaluation, policy development, and governance.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including state governments and community groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing briefings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Strong analytical and research skills
