**Overview**
The Nossal Institute for Global Health aims to enhance the health of individuals globally by broadening our collective understanding of how numerous systems operate and interact to influence health through applied research, learning, and partnerships.

The Policy and Advocacy Lead will collaborate closely with the Pacific Friend Advisory Board and Alliance leadership to oversee the Pacific Friends secretariat function and activities. This role involves managing important global health financing moments in 2024 and 2025, focusing on securing strong pledges from the Australian Government for Gavi the Vaccine Alliance and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual to drive policy and advocacy initiatives at Pacific Friends of Global Health. The role, covering maternity leave, is part-time (0.6 FTE) for a fixed 14-month term, with potential extension.

About You
The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in advocacy, government relations, policy analysis, communications, project management, and stakeholder engagement to raise awareness of key global health issues in the Indo-Pacific Region. They will play a vital role in enhancing regional health outcomes through Australian Government support to various health programs.
