About the Role


Our supportive, geographically diverse, flexible, results driven, cohesive and friendly Growth Team (bids/proposals) is looking for a full-time Capture Operations Advisor who thrives on being a problem solver, crosses their 'T's" and dots their "I's" whilst being able to inject creative flair into tender submissions.

Position is to be based in Murarrie Queensland or Mawson Lakes South Australia.


Reporting to the Capture Operations Manager and working closely with members of the Growth team, you will provide advice and administrative/operational support to the development of bid responses and associated reviews including colour reviews, strategy reviews and project gates.

Focusing on process improvement and compliance, you will ensure documentation, reports and artefacts are produced to a high standard, comply with approved policies and procedures and are retained and managed within the approved document management system and/or collaboration platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration/operational support to the team, establishing and maintaining the team document management sites and managing users.
  • Develop/maintain/update bid and strategy templates and associated document management systems.
  • Liaise with and assist bid team members undertake basic graphic design and chart development or improvement using Visio, PowerPoint and GIMP and implement and manage the graphics library.
  • Manage response templates throughout the bid process, including formatting, editing, proof reading and troubleshooting as required, ensuring compliance to the customer defined response requirements.
  • Schedule and manage key meetings such as gate and other leadership reviews, ensuring compliance to company policy and identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Provide advice and support to key stakeholders and leadership team members regarding key activities, gate requirements and their required delegation and required information/documents at each phase/gate.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 35 years prior relevant experience depending on tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Communications/Graphic Design, Project or Business Management
  • Experience in the Defence Industry desirable but not essential
  • Advanced computer literacy, knowledge & experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint. Intermediate for Visio and Adobe Acrobat
  • A positive, motivated, flexible, and cando attitude with the ability to deal with change and ambiguity while demonstrating stability of performance under pressure to deliver in tight timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills to complement your outstanding organisational, problemsolving, time management and prioritisation skills.
