This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Network Technician to join our Defence MSP client and play a crucial role in facilitating the efficient and effective conduct of training events. Our client is a leading Defence MSP embedded on base in Williamtown.

Responsibilities

As the Technical Expert, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing simulation software/network technical support.
  • Assisting in the integration of components, systems, and sub-systems, including new acquisitions.
  • Undertaking system modelling and developing system architecture using digital software and tools.
  • Documenting and maintaining configuration status (baselining documentation with system configuration).
  • Providing systems administration support, including service pack releases, patches, hot fixes, and security configuration.
  • Facilitating and coordinating Test and Evaluation
  • Supporting maintenance of ICT Security accreditation
  • Monitoring systems performance, system resource utilization, and capacity, ensuring availability and reliability.
  • Managing obsolescence, ensuring issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Offering coaching, mentoring, and advice to end client users

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Network Technician in a defence environment
  • Must hold current NV1 security clearance.
  • Must be located in Williamtown, NSW.
