Your opportunity As our Senior Traffic Engineer, you will lead and manage traffic engineering activities within the Civil and Traffic Infrastructure Asset Management Unit.

A typical day in this position will involve: Providing leadership to the traffic engineering team.
Providing specialist advice in traffic engineering.
Traffic related engineering.
Asset management and developing strategies, specifications, guidelines and procedures.

Assess, determine and implement strategies and engineering solutions to improve and maintain traffic efficiency, equitable parking supply and, safety of road users.

Has highly developed research and analytical skills including achievement in effectively undertaking traffic engineering investigations, evaluations, and strategy development to provide cost-effective strategies within budget parameters.

You will hold a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or have the ability to obtain within first 12 months of employment.

You'll have r elevant experience in the transport and traffic engineering profession.

You will need to have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or another relevant discipline recognised by Engineers Australia.
