About the role


Our Traffic Engineer plays a significant role in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of road users within our community.

Working closely with our Coordinator Traffic Engineer, you will undertake thorough investigations and promptly prepare correspondence to address Council and public requests regarding traffic matters.

Day to day duties include but not limited to:

Utilising a variety of traffic engineering techniques, including computer-based methods, to analyse and evaluate proposals effectively. Maintaining up-to-date traffic data to inform decision-making and improve traffic management strategies. Assisting in the development of conceptual designs for traffic engineering projects under supervision. Assisting with the preparation of comprehensive funding applications and documentation for State and Federal Grants related to traffic and road management initiatives.

What you will bring
 Do you possess a tertiary qualification and have an extensive background in traffic and transport engineering with an enthusiasm to further develop your skills?

The following is also required:

Detailed knowledge of the provisions of the Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards relevant to traffic engineering. Knowledge of relevant VicRoads standards and Australian traffic engineering guidelines. Excellent communication skills and presentation – both oral and written. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Australian Drivers Licence

Interview information
 The interviews will take place between Monday, 24th and Thursday, 28th of June 2024, between 9am and 5pm .
