Your role as the Manager of People and Culture is pivotal in ensuring our HR practices drive organisational success. This involves building strong relationships, devising long-term HR strategies, supporting team leaders, fostering a supportive work environment, and ensuring compliance. You'll report to the General Manager of Corporate Services, lead the HR team, and collaborate with the CEO and other leaders, engaging external experts when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Lead and support the People and Culture team, ensuring clarity in roles, skill development, and alignment with organisational values.
  • Cultivate positive relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes to ensure timely and effective staffing.

People and Culture Strategy:

  • Develop and execute an Annual People and Culture Action Plan aligned with organisational goals.
  • Monitor and report on business unit performance, initiating improvement strategies as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the People and Culture team to meet stakeholder expectations.

Industrial Relations / Employee Relations:

  • Provide HR and IR advice to managers, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with external advisors when necessary.
  • Analyse HR practices and implement solutions for efficiency and compliance.

Workforce Planning and Capability Development:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop HR strategies and workforce plans.
  • Implement strategies for reskilling, upskilling, and succession planning.
  • Ensure a skilled and engaged workforce, including employees, contractors, and volunteers.

Leader Coaching and Support:

  • Offer guidance to executive leaders on people, culture, and performance development.
  • Support operational managers in people management and Fair Work compliance.
  • Build HR and leadership capability across the organisation.

People and Culture Programs, Projects, and Initiatives:

  • Develop recruitment and career-pathway strategies to attract and retain talent.
  • Manage annual performance planning and development processes.
  • Promote organisational values in recruitment and performance management.
  • Collaborate on well being initiatives to create a supportive work environment.
  • Facilitate engagement surveys, performance reviews, and talent/succession identification

Experience / Clearances:

  • Degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or similar.
  • Knowing about different HR areas like performance management and employment law.
  • Good at communicating and negotiating.
  • Can take charge and manage tasks.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Passed a police check.
  • Willing to get vaccinated each year.
  • Have a driver's license.
  • Experience in negotiating agreements.
