As a Data Governance Officer, you will work closely with various teams across nib Group in facilitating data governance forums, standards, practices, processes and issue management.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working in the data governance team to provide support and secretariat services whilst contributing to the enhancement and operationalisation of the enterprise data governance framework
  • Assisting in the improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data
  • Being part of the nib Group's data community and supporting all activities relating to enhancements to organisation policies and standards, governance metrics, training systems and related tools
  • Working closely with stakeholders to identify and monitor data issues and support change management for improved data quality outcomes

With previous experience in a similar data role, skills and experience that will help set you up for success include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues
  • Experience in implementing governance frameworks and associated policies, systems and processes
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of risk data architecture and technical solutions
  • Ability to communicate, influence and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Experience dealing with regulatory requirements such as CPG235 is desired
