Our Wollongong branch is looking for a Project Manager to join its team
With 70years' industry experience, Higgins Coatings continues to be owned and operatedas a proud family business. Higgins is Australia's premier commercial paintingcontractor, providing a complete painting maintenance service and solutions toa broad range of industries.
We have an exciting position for a ProjectManager to join our Wollongong team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of all repaintcommercial projects from start to finish. Typical projects include multi-storybuildings, schools, shopping centres and defence sites.
While you are 'off the tools', 80% of your timeis spent travelling to various sites and 20% in the office working with oursales and admin team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead thecompletion of works for concurrent projects safely, on time, to contract specification, and to budget.
- Day to day planning of labour and materials
- Problemsolving and job monitoring
- Work with the sales team to assess job costings and methodology
- Ensure strong conformity to Higgins WHS standards and systems
- Completing all documentation electronically
What do we need from you?
You must be a trade qualified painter with aminimum of 5 years of commercial painting experience, managing small teams onconcurrent projects:
- Assessinghours and costs of projects
- Using online documents and WHS systems
- Supervising safety compliance
- Negotiating sub-contractor agreements and monitoring on site performance
- Ensuringclient satisfaction through high levels of written and verbal communication
- Coaching/training painters
