Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the Illawarra region. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Proactively driving company safety policies and practices to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with our Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Interpreting designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Contributing to improvements to existing designs.
  • Arranging and overseeing the letting of tenders.
  • Assisting with preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitoring construction progress for adherence to programme and reporting to the site manager or project manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in building, construction, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven high level of professionalism, maturity, and candour in daily work ethic.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
