Darling Downs South West Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division Cunnamulla P-12 State School are seeking a Deputy Principal to join them on a temporary full-time basis from 08 July 2024 until 13 December 2024 unless otherwise determined.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to: Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools; Develop the quality of teaching and learning; Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

Founded in 1877 alongside the beautiful Warrego River, Cunnamulla P-12 State School is a rural and remote Prep to Year 12 campus located on the land of the Kunja people in the Darling Downs South West region, 9 hours drive from Brisbane.

With strong ties to the community and a rich educational history, Cunnamulla P-12 State School prioritises the teaching of reading and literacy skills whilst championing contextualised and experiential learning with real-world relevance for the students.

At Cunnamulla P-12 State School, our aim is to convince each student that school is fun and a place where they want to be.

We also teach them to be respectful, responsible, safe, and to love and value learning in order for them to be successful in life.

About the Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
