Our temporary pool is expanding... several new temporary positions have listed this week. We are calling upon experienced candidates in the areas of Medical Reception, Medical Administration, Medical Secretarial, Medical Billing, and Practice Management/Clinic Coordination to join our team.

Just a sample of some of the up-and-coming assignments available:

Medical Receptionist – a 12-month fixed term Maternity Leave Cover, working within an ENT Practice in Sunnybank. This is a part time position working Monday to Thursday from 8.30am – 4.30pm. This assignment would require the successful candidate to run an offsite clinic in Windsor twice in a 4 week period. The successful candidate needs to hold a current driver's license.

Senior Medical Secretary – based in Dutton Park working part time rostered hours between 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday. This assignment is the opportunity to gain experience within a busy Orthopaedic Practice. Producing theatre quotes, booking theatre appointments, medical correspondence, patient billing (Medicare etc.) and inpatient/surgery billing. This is perfect for an agile candidate that can support the Practice with a variety of skills.

Medical Receptionist/Concierge – this position is within a Gastroenterology Practice based in Taringa. This assignment is working full time hours for a variety of set dates; 1st July – 4th July, 16th September – 19th September and 6th December – 13th December. Experience using Xestro is essential for the right candidate.

Medical Receptionist – a Dermatology practice based in Spring Hill working Wednesday to Friday with rostered hours between 8am to 4:30/5:00pm. This is an ongoing assignment with a view to permanency for the right candidate. The practice uses software and are happy to train the right person. Immediate start available

Junior Medical Receptionist – a 12-month fixed term position working within a Sleep and Lung Centre based in Greenslopes Private Hospital. This position is suitable for a junior candidate that has previously worked within a Private Specialist Practice and used Genie and/or Gentu. This is a part time position, working Tuesday – Thursday from 8am – 5pm.

Medical Typist – this position is working 2 x 4-hour shifts per week with an expanding Psychiatry Specialist Practice based in Milton. The assignment is strictly Medical Typing and the successful candidate would not be required to work in the Reception area. Immediate start

Medical Typist – this expanding group Specialist Practice is seeking a temporary medical typist, supporting the Practice with a high-volume workload. This Practice is based in Greenslopes, but the successful candidate can also work remotely. Immediate start

To be closely considered for Temp and/or Contract roles with Litton Andrews, you will have:

  • A minimum of 12 months industry experience working within a private specialist practice
  • Sound knowledge of medical and billing software including at least one of the following: Genie, Gentu, BlueChip, Shexie, HealthTrack, Clinic to Cloud or Xestro
  • Proficient computer skills, with a sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with uncompromising attention to detail
  • General understanding of medical terminology and the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility with your working availability, including a high level of enthusiasm and resilience to adapt to varying practice environments
  • An understanding of Medicare, DVA, Workcover and Private Health Fund billing would be advantageous
  • Medical Transcription temp roles will require a minimum of 80wpm in addition to previous private specialist practice experience
