John Cade Level 2 encompasses two State-wide services, Eating Disorders and Neuropsychiatry.

The Neuropsychiatry service is a national assessment service whilst the Eating Disorders service has a catchment that includes the Western Metropolitan area as well as the Western half of regional Victoria.

This position will work within the 16 bed inpatient unit. Staff are caring, cohesive and a dynamic multi-disciplinary team which value the specific contributions of all clinical staff.

Your new role:

  • This position offers rich opportunities to develop your career as a senior nurse through the provision of both clinical and managerial leadership.
  • Oversee and provide leadership for day to day activities on the inpatient unit including; overseeing rosters, staff allocation, clinical interventions, staff training and development needs, meetings.
  • Develop and deliver a high level of clinical care
  • Support the Program Manager with the day to day running of the IPU

About you:

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
  • You enjoy being part of a dynamic team yet are confident to work autonomously and assume leadership
  • Welldeveloped experience in psychiatric nursing and ANUM or higher duty experience
