A council in North/Eastern Melbourne Suburbs is looking for a Planning Investigations/Enforcement Officer to join their team on a short term contract.

  • 68 week contract

Planning Officers who are interested in and can manage planning investigations are encouraged to apply.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a short term contract.

It is a pivotal role within council's Planning department and will require someone to bring experience, enthusiasm and dedication to the team.


  • A tertiary qualification in Planning or relevant qualifications;
  • Ability to establish procedures in the conducting of investigations, manage time and organise own work to achieve set objectives;
  • Ability to gather evidence and conduct investigations to achieve planning compliance, including for prosecutions and enforcement orders where required;
  • Ability to listen and to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders to handle stressful situation in relation to development disputes;
  • Previous experience in statutory planning.
