The Role


NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team at our brand new centre for innovation on the Macquarie University campus.

This permanent full-time role reports to the Head of Brand and Marketing and is critical to the success of our go-to-market strategy.

The Marketing Manager will implement, evaluate and continuously advance the marketing strategy to promote NextSense programs and services.

This role will work cross-functionally to develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, with a heavy focus on digital content creation to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and drive local engagement plans for existing and new NextSense centres across Australia.

You'll be passionate about building brand and service awareness essential to the growth and sustainability of NextSense.

You'll make a difference in this role by delivering against these key responsibilities:

  • Implement and advance the NextSense marketing strategy, building knowledge and delivering integrated marketing campaigns to drive acquisition, retention and promotion
  • Cultivate and manage internal and external relationships
  • Work with the broader marketing and communications team to develop end to end digital content packages and produce impactful written content
  • Increase lead generation and conversion, using insights and analytics to drive activity, improve the customer experience journey, build referrer strategies, and use digital, social and content expertise to reach defined target markets
  • Work with existing advertising agencies to deliver digital gotomarket activity, to optimise campaigns, build brand and service awareness and deliver against defined targets
  • Periodically conduct market research and reporting
  • Consult with specific NextSense departments, programs, services or centres, providing expertise and guidance on a range of marketing channels including digital platforms
  • Provide support and guidance to NextSense staff on the use of the NextSense brand, gotomarket strategy and key messages to ensure NextSense marketing communications remain consistent across all channels and materials
  • Represent NextSense externally, by participating in industry and sector events, build relationships with new and existing NextSense partners, government stakeholders, client advocacy groups
  • Successfully manage, mentor and inspire direct reports to ensure delivery on marketing activities across all NextSense services, centres, and support functions
  • Manage marketing budgets across different marketing channels
  • Actively foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in the marketing team and more broadly within NextSense.
