We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Temporary Services Supervisor within our Hunter Class Project based in Osborne, SA.

The Temporary Support Services Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of the temporary shipyard services across the shipyard to ship blocks, inside and outside of the Buildings and while the Ship is on the Hardstand and Wharf.

Your new role:

As a Temporary Services Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Provide Temp power to Ship Blocks and Ships
  • Provide Temporary Gas & Compressed Air Manifolds
  • Temporary Mechanical and Electrical Services for Blocks / Ship Construction
  • Provide Temporary Ventilation and extraction
  • Provide Temporary lighting inside the Blocks and ships
  • Provide manual call points, Extinguishers, State boards etc
  • Supervise the daily operations of employees performing Temporary services and providing services supporting production
  • Working with procurement to establish service providers relationships
  • Monitor safety, incidents, costs, provider performance, work backlogs and environmental issues
  • Oversee that all equipment to be used and deployed throughout the shipyard is properly certified and has been appropriately tested, inspected or calibrated
  • Provide support to Maintenance services and Maintenance technicians
  • Delegation of Authority as per the Delegation Structure
  • Complete Permits and act as the Permit Authority when required
  • Support production
About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Cert IV Trade Based qualifications in Electrical / Electronic / or equivalent
  • Experience in supervising the teams
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering services ship building preferable
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in overseeing, supervising and engaging with subcontract, contracting, and service providers
  • Leadership skills and who shares knowledge and insights with the team to further develop their skills
  • Substantial experience in managing large and diverse work teams in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in ensuring that services are supplied to support the operation schedule
  • Eligibility for Negative Vetting Level 1 ( NV1 ) Security Clearance
Clearances

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.


International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
