As the Line Event Planning Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring your team are efficiently planning and overseeing the acquittal of line maintenance activity for company and customer aircraft.

You will perform routine analysis of your team's outputs to evaluate process compliance and effectiveness while providing critical business insight and improved planning performance.

As a team leader, you will be a primary point of contact to manage day-to-day issues within the event planning team and our maintenance providers to ensure effective control of the maintenance workload across the network.

In the role, you will also be required to:

  • Liaise directly with the Maintenance Planning team and Maintenance Providers to provide visibility of planned maintenance activity
  • Develop, supervise and lead the Line Event Planning team to ensure all aircraft maintenance requirements are appropriately allocated to the flying patterns to meet airworthiness compliance, optimise flying utilisation and minimise waste of facilities, manpower and logistics.
  • Review planned maintenance workloads prior to release to production to ensure that assigned maintenance requirements are achievable within scheduled ground times.
  • Manages operational changes to ensure all variations are appropriately authorised and diagnoses causes and opportunities to improve planning processes
  • Develop and improves disruption management processes
  • Develops contingency plans to minimise/avoid disruption to the network and maintenance execution
  • Consult with Maintenance Watch and production departments to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved
  • Measure and deliver to established Line Event Planning KPIs
To achieve success in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance planning and airline industry
  • Understanding of relevant Airworthiness Regulations and Expositions for P42/P145 Planning requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively liaise with both staff and management
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to implement corporate processes and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Demonstrated integrity and experience in handling confidential and or sensitive information
  • Able to effectively work in a collaborative team environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and networking skills
