About the role


The Project Officer - Illegal Dumping is responsible for managing a broad range of illegal dumping activities with an emphasis on the minimisation and prevention of Illegal Dumping.


On a daily basis you will:

  • Coordinate and implement activities to minimise and prevent illegal dumping
  • Participate in the implementation of project, strategies, policies, guidelines and procedures that align with Council's waste and cleansing strategic directions.
  • Prepare, deliver and evaluate education and information based on community needs
  • Work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate and deliver illegal dumping related strategies and activities within the LGA.
  • Respond to reports of illegal dumping incidents to verify dumping locations, undertake required research to gather any available evidence and forward on, to enable sound regulatory enforcement

About You
You can demonstrate strategic planning skills including the ability to develop written action plans with clearly defined objectives and strategies that respond to identified needs both current and future


You will confidently lead, develop, and manage projects that may be strategic, complex and diverse while working both independently as well as part of a team.

Your are approachable and able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners and/or stakeholders.

You must hold a Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C).

What's on offer
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $78,860.08 to $86, Grade 8, Local Government (State) Award 2017).
