We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join our Sydney team at Stowe Australia. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site visits and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures and protocols.
- Participate in and lead Toolbox Talks and other training sessions to promote a safety culture and values.
- Promote and drive the desired safety culture, values, initiatives, and expected behavior.
- Partner with Site Managers and front-line supervisors to provide subject matter expertise, advice, support, and guidance.
- Mentor and coach site leadership to manage and implement safety programs.
- Coordinate WH&S training for relevant staff in areas such as incident investigations, risk assessments, and internal audits.
- Ensure injuries and incidents are investigated and corrective actions are implemented.
- Support project teams in the coordination of incident management.
- Support injured workers and assist with return-to-work responsibilities.
- Administration and maintenance of WH&S data management systems.
- Assist the organization during major safety audits.
- Ensure accurate records, training certificates, inspection reports, and other documents are readily available on request.
- Assist in project pre-planning to ensure project procedures and specifications reflect WHS and environmental requirements.
- Work with supervisors and managers to improve safe operating procedures and plant and equipment management.
- Support operational teams with HSEQ activities and initiatives on permanent and temporary sites.
- Conduct internal HSEQ operational audits, inspections, and reporting.
- Support the development and implementation of new HSEQ programs and training initiatives.
- Participate in Stowe Australia National HSEQ forums.
- Trade or construction background.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including presenting to groups, developing and managing cooperative working relationships, and resolving issues by reporting and negotiating.
- Computer and technology literacy, including Office 365 and mobile/tablet-based apps.
- Current Driver's License.
- General Construction Industry Induction Card (white card).
- Willingness to travel as needed for site inspections and training sessions within Sydney.
- Electrical background (highly desirable).
- WHS Qualifications (or ability to attain).
- Experience in safety activities within a construction, service, or trade environment.
