Your new role:


As the Internal Controls (SOX) & Compliance Officer position will be to assist with coordination and control of our reporting requirements in a complete, accurate and timely manner and in accordance with accepted Accounting Standards and defined corporate policies.


  • Ensure operating effectiveness of the control environment and in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements to ensure audit compliance
  • Taking charge of internal processes and procedure agenda for Australia, working with management to improve the internal control environment through design, training, monitoring, and testing
  • Provide timely reports on control gaps and underlying reasons, with valueadded suggestions on how to enhance business processes to assist Executive Management
  • Supports initiatives aimed at streamlining processes, increasing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the business
  • Maintenance of bank guarantee register and liaison with branches and financial institutes
  • Maintenance the expense management system, review of transactions and reconciliation to General Ledger
  • Preparation and lodgement of Australian Bureau of Statistics returns
  • Preparation and lodgement of PTRS and TPAR with the ATO
  • Engagement in new supplier setup processes
  • Other duties as directed by the Financial Controller

What you will bring to the Internal Controls (SOX) & Compliance Officer role**:

  • Technical expertise in risk/control frameworks, enterprise risk management processes, financial policies and procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Business acumen and an understanding of business practices within Australia
  • Knowledge in financial reporting, sourcing, supply chain, marketing, information systems, sales, shared service and customer service operations
  • Experience working as a finance leader to drive compliance environment
  • Growth and digital mindset with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ideally external or internal audit exposure (Big 4 or large global corporation preferred), Navision ERP, InspHire Software, Hyperion Consolidation System
