Reporting to the Senior WHS Manager, the WHS Compliance Coordinator will help drive compliance in safety systems by implementing and maintaining the safety management systems on-site. This is a full-time role based in Strahan, offering flexibility in start and finish times during the season. The ideal candidate will possess a Coxswain ticket and a Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety; however, these can be obtained while working with us. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products is essential.

What does your week look like?

  • Roster: 4/3 roster working 10-hour days
  • Location: Strahan - Western Zone leases
  • Time on Water: At least 30% of your time
  • Safety Systems: Implementation, administration, and maintenance of corporate safety systems to ensure WHS compliance at the site
  • Compliance: Facilitating WHS hazard identification, risk assessments (JSA), risk control, and other safety tasks
  • Investigations: Supporting onsite teams in timely reporting of incidents and injuries, and conducting incident investigations
  • Injury Management: Ensuring Tassal's Injury Management protocols are upheld on site and vessel
  • Stakeholder Support: Assisting site leadership groups in creating a safe work environment
  • Contractor Management: Supporting effective WHS management of contractors
