Position Overview:


We are looking for a self-motivated Program Manager (PM) to join the Insulet commercial OPs team at an incredibly exciting time for the organization.

This position is responsible for the project management and flawless execution of new product innovation programs through a methodical approach of planning and implementation of projects from concept through to market readiness.

This individual will lead the commercial team comprised of HCP-, Product
- and consumer marketing; market access; customer care; sales ops; product support and training through all phases of a project/program to achieve launch excellence.


Working closely with the R&D & IT teams to ensure product development & cross functional project requirements are achieved to enable excellence in market launches in new and existing geographies.


The PM needs to be results focused, demonstrating program ownership and ability to guide teams through the project execution process in a time driven environment.

Helps ensure consistent practices throughout all phases of the project life cycle and across project functional teams.


Use professional project management concepts and interpersonal skills to solve complex problems and hold people accountable in a creative and effective way, while maintaining a positive culture of collaboration.

Exercise a balance of independent judgment and group organization in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

The position reports to the Director, Commercial Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively leads cross functional project teams in a collaborative environment, completing project deliverables per target timelines and requirements.
  • Responsible for planning and tracking project performance, against completing short
- and long-term goals.

  • Ensure program remain within scope and project is on schedule
  • Maintain and monitor project budgets, directing the efficient use of resources to effectively complete projects.
  • Lead projectrelated activities of project team members.
  • Prepare project summary reports, develops project plans, identifies risk and communicates mitigation activities.
  • Prepare and deliver project status presentations to Management regularly. Feedback outcomes to project teams.
  • Lead and/or participate in all phases of commercial projects from concept through to go live. Working with cross functional teams including R & D, Regulatory, Legal, Packaging and Labelling, Marketing and Commercial to ensure market readiness.
  • Constantly work to improve the internal processes through simplification and efficiency in order to improve the timetomarket cycle for existing & new products into new marketplaces.
  • Mentor project team members assisting in their execution and development in project management skills; and develop strong influencing behaviors to drive business outcomes.
  • Adhere to all regulatory agency standards, company quality standards and corporate policies.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as business needs demand (30%).
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Level of Degree
years of demonstrated experience in a program management role working in the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry

  • Prior experience in leading cross functional teams.
  • Project management certification preferred
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology preferred
  • Commercial experience such as marketing is a plus

Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledgeable of the US and International Medical Device and Drug Delivery Regulations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management
  • Demonstrated experience leading a project in a crossfunctional environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a program budget and project timelines
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fastpaced, growth industry and work environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at all levels of seniority.
