What you'll do:
As a People & Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the talent acquisition strategy, ensuring it solves key business problems relating to attraction and retention. You will leverage your skills to implement sourcing initiatives, identifying potential candidates proactively. Your responsibilities will also include active participation in workforce planning and succession planning. You will maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Furthermore, you will prepare employees for assignments by establishing orientation and training programs. Your role will also involve assisting in drafting staff performance evaluation policies that align with business strategy. Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring applicable human resource federal and state requirements will be crucial. As the 'Return to Work Coordinator', you will develop RTW programs for injured employees.
Finalise and provide regular updates towards the Talent Acquisition Strategy.
Implement a range of sourcing and attraction initiatives including proactive identification of potential candidates for a mix of white and blue collar roles
Lead cyclical HR activities like performance reviews/ rem reviews
Update and refresh company policies and procedures
Build on employee benefits suite
Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting Learning & Development programmes.
Spearhead investigations, grievances, and other ER cases
Carry out training needs analysis for company positions, devise and implement staff development programs.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
Act as the 'Return to Work Coordinator' for the company, developing RTW programs for injured employees.
Work with C-suite to drive commercial goals of the business through a people lens
Work on different strategic initiatives as well as operational work
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the People & Culture Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in human resources and management, with at least five years in similar roles. You will possess strong computer and research skills, coupled with an analytical mind that excels at problem-solving. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be crucial in this role, as well as your ability to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately. A keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential. Furthermore, you should have the ability to simplify complex documents and systems, along with the capability to gather insights and provide recommendations based on trends.
Proven experience (minimum five years) in human resources and management ideally in the construction space
Strong computer and research skills.
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
Excellent written (report writing) and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to simplify complex documents and systems.
Ability to gather insights and provide recommendations from any given trends.
