WA College of Agriculture – Denmark is seeking four (4) Residential Supervisors, male or female to join their team.

We currently have the following positions available :

4 x – permanent part-time (0.5FTE) positions

All positions will commence Term 3, 2024

As a Residential Supervisor you will provide appropriate pastoral care and supervision of students during residential hours. You will be required to supervise students undertaking sporting and recreational activities along with ensuring student receive appropriate care to maintain health and wellbeing in a safe and homely environment.

The successful applicant will assist students to develop personal and social skills, in accordance with the College plan while also planning, organising, and transporting student to activities such as, sporting fixtures, entertainment and other events on weekends. Ideally you will have experience working with youth including following operational procedures and standards, including security and emergency.

WA College of Agriculture – Denmark is a 560-hectare working farm and educational facility for Year 10 to 12 students offering a wide variety of studies and industry training with an agricultural focus. We attract students from all over the state from a wide variety of backgrounds and have a capacity of around 150 students of which 95 are residential students.

While the majority of our students board in the College's residential facility, there are a number of day students, and a bus service is provided to and from Albany. Our prime location is both a strength and motivation for us to continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for our students and develop strong partnerships with the community, to ensure our long-term future.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

Sound written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals. Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team. Skills and understandings appropriate to the supervision and care of young people in a residential environment. Organisational skills with the ability to plan, organise, implement and record activities.
