Located in a stunning rural area, Glenwood provides a world class education to students ranging from Prep to Year 6, and currently provide access to a Playgroup program onsite to connect with families prior to formal schooling.
We also offer transition programs for our Year 6 students entering our local secondary schools, in both Maryborough and Gympie.
Every day our students strive to achieve their goals by engaging in exciting curriculum activities to meet individual learning needs, crafted by a dedicated and skilled staff.

About the RoleAs the Glenwood Cluster Head of Special Education Services, you will provide curriculum leadership in Inclusion, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Curriculum adjustments and effective pedagogies, NCCD and fostering quality learning outcomes for all student.
The role has a focus on promoting equity and excellence for ALL students inclusive of students with disabilities and Giftedness.
You will nurture positive relationships within and beyond the school community, ensuring effective support and adjustments for ALL students inclusive of students with disabilities and Giftedness based on relevant legislation and policies.
The 2024 role allocation is 3 days Inclusive Multi-Tiered classroom support at Glenwood State School, 1 day at Gunalda State School and 1 day Cluster HOSES Administration support of Glenwood State School, (Base), Gunalda State School, Gundiah State School, Theebine State School and Kilkivan State School.
As the Head of Special Education Services, you will:
- focus on educational leadership, participating in delivering the vision of State Schools Division
- nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
