ING, Australia's most recommended bank is looking for an experienced
Manager - Prudential Governance to join its high performing Regulatory Risk Management team.


In this
12-months fixed term contract, you'll support the design and implementation of obligations as part of the Prudential Governance framework across ING.

You'll work closely with Regulatory Risk and provide key input into ING's Risk Transformation program.

What you'll do

  • Support the development and management of prudential obligations framework through ING's Risk Transformation (Rx) program
  • Develop the design of a register to profile compliance with obligations in line with existing Frameworks and Policies across Risk and the ING Group.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure the obligations of the register are managed appropriately through processes and controls, challenged and reported to management
  • Own and lead initiatives related to the management of obligations in the team's data and automation strategy to optimise the Regulatory Risk framework
  • Support the Prudential Governance function as required in responding to and tracking prudential issues and events across the Bank to facilitate oversight and potentially remediation
  • Design and coordinate prudential governance reporting to the Board and Committees and develop useful dashboards providing a holistic and overarching view across the portfolio
  • Partner with internal and external SMEs to delivery targeted learning/briefing sessions on regulatory topics
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory Risk team and Line 2 to ensure alignment and effective risk management across the frameworks

What we're looking for

  • Business controls SME within Financial Services with an advanced knowledge of Prudential (APRA) Standards and frameworks for banks
  • Experience developing frameworks, drafting policies, procedures, and developing and implementing new processes and systems
  • Working knowledge of specific prudential compliance requirements
  • Minimum 5 7 years practical experience in managing financial risk or other risk class from a compliance/regulatory perspective or APRA
  • Experience managing risk functions/running large risk programs
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders across all levels of management (both internally and externally), make recommendations and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven track record of managing high priority items in high pressure environments
