An exciting opportunity is available for an Operations Officer (Team Leader) to join Cuties Compliance Team.


The Duties Compliance Team is part of the Taxes and Grants division within Revenue NSW.We undertake assessments, revenue collection, enquiries, investigations and client education services.

We administer grants and use our expertise to research, develop and implement programs to make it easier for our customers to comply.


This is an opportunity for you to design and implement compliance program and to efficiently lead the team to ensure that customer are compliant with their obligations under state taxation and grant legislation.

You will manage a diverse group of individuals responsible for the scheme/grant compliance and investigation.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a range of scheme compliance programs as well as processes, practices and standards
  • Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the availability of systems, tools and support
  • Leading a team responsible for ensuring that customers are compliance with state tax legislation and ensuring that KPIs and performance standards are met
  • Embedding a positive workplace culture within the team and identifying training needs for overall team development
  • Participating in the development of the team's goals, strategies and plans as well as workforce planning.
  • Approval of audit reports, refunds and assessments

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain excellent internal and external working relationships
  • Ability to identify and deliver multiple work priorities in order to design and implement program/projects
  • Your motivation and enthusiasm to lead initiatives and implement/manage change
  • Experience in managing a team to provide quality and timely service, ensuring compliance with legislation and key performance indicators are achieved
  • Experience in conducting audit procedures and provide technical advice for staff development
  • Experience in researching & interpreting legislation, including analysis and highlevel investigation skills

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101947 base plus superannuation
