Event Dates and Times:

  • Date: Thursday 6th of

June Location:
McDonald Jones Stadium, NewcastleStaff requirement: 9 x BA and 1 x Team leadTimings: still TBC but roughly 5pm - 9pmRequirements: Stand in the bays within the stadium or on the field and assist with keeping 2 x giant inflatable balls up in the air

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Staff to assist with a series of events.

As Event Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various activities and providing exceptional customer service to event attendees.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet event attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide information about the event schedule, locations, and activities to attendees.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including but not limited to arranging signage, setting up booths, and organizing event materials.
  • Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
  • Direct attendees to different areas of the event venue as needed.
  • Assist with crowd control and manage lines or queues as necessary.
  • Handle inquiries and address any issues or concerns raised by attendees promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other event staff and coordinators to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Attend a 45minute briefing session online prior to the event dates to familiarize yourself with event details and expectations.
  • Participate in an inperson briefing session on the day of each event for additional instructions and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Prior experience in customer service or event coordination is preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a WWCC

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
  • Opportunities for future event staffing roles based on performance.

Pay:
$ $45.00 per hour

Expected hours:
per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newcastle, NSW 2300: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employerprovided relocation package (required)
