The Policy and Communications Coordinator is responsible for delivering high quality written correspondence on behalf of Executives and Councillors in response to customer enquiries and complaints.

The position also provides writing coaching and support to other team members as needed to help them resolve complex queries and meet changing requirements.


The position also plays a key role in providing advice and contributing to Branch strategy development as well as policy and process review.


You can bring

  • Leadership capability including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
  • Significant experience in a similar role including preparation of high quality written correspondence and documentation that may include a strategic, policy advice and/or communications focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans
  • Proven experience effectively managing issues within a highly political and complex environment
