About You :

  • 1-3 years experience as a Brand Manager or similar level role in the fashion industry

Position Summary :

A very rare opportunity has arisen to join our small and close-knit team in the role of our Brand & Product Manager. We are looking for a passionate, committed, and incredible design professional with a unique skill set that crosses product design, marketing & business. You will be the right-hand person to our Designer/Director and be closely involved in the conception and creation of every Kuwaii collection. You will lead a small team and support and nurture their success.

The Brand & Product Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of our entire fashion product lifecycle, including defining the product vision, and ensuring that the product supports our overall brand strategy and goals. You will directly assist with the product development of our new collections, as well as running our photoshoots and campaigns and seeing the creative all the way through to launch. This is a hands-on role in a small business setting. You will sit within our marketing, design and production teams and you will have the responsibility of overseeing the entire creative process of our products & collections.

Key Requirements :

You will come equipped with:

  • 1-3 years experience as a Brand Manager or similar level role in the fashion industry
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion / Marketing/ Business highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Strong systematic & analytic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional experience using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have powerful leadership skills and business orientation
  • Ability to propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Highly organised and with impeccable time management skills
  • Strong design aesthetic
  • High level of time management and work well under pressure
  • Strong understanding of product trends and instinctive feelings about product concepts
  • Be a team leader, able to inspire others
  • Be energetic and passionate about slow fashion
  • Be organised and methodical
  • Have impeccable presentation skills
  • Enjoy working in a busy, deadline-driven, creative environment

Job Responsibility :

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Constantly push to improve the Kuwaii product, sales and brand
  • Oversee new design concepts and ideas from concept to completion
  • Advise on design, fabric and fit decisions
  • Assist in concepts for new products and collections
  • Manage timeline/calendar for new range development & production process to maximise selling opportunities
  • Range planning and analysis to assist in developing new products seasonally.
  • Analyse pricing & profitability of products
  • Analyse sales performance and work with the Director and retail team to implement initiatives to drive growth
  • Place seasonal product orders for maximum saleability
  • Have an intuitive creative mind and understanding of the Kuwaii brand
  • Have a vision for product, marketing strategies & ideas
  • Support employee performance and productivity
  • Be involved with the hiring and performance management process
  • Act as a link between our design team and retail stores to communicate new products, promotions and policies.
