The role

To support HDR's continued commitment to exceptional project delivery, our award-winning architecture practice is looking for a detail oriented and organised Business Support Administrator.

Based in Sydney and reporting to the Associate Managing Principal, this role will see you supporting and driving our resourcing activities across our Sydney and Melbourne Studios as well as providing direct support to our Associate Managing Principal.

You will join a fast-paced and agile environment where no two days will be the same.

This is a critical role to support the project outcomes of our studio, and we'll count on you to:

  • Liase and collaborate with our Project Leader Team to gather and verify individual project resource needs across the Sydney and Melbourne Studios
  • Utilise your welldeveloped Excel skills to manage and maintain our resourcing pipeline document
  • Assist Project Leaders with data entry of their workplans to ensure accurate reflection of current project program with clearly defined project staffing needs.
  • Schedule recurring Project Reviews with Studio and Project Leadership for all architectural projects
  • Provide exceptional support to our Associate Managing Principal including managing appointments/calendars, scheduling interviews, general support where required
  • Work collaboratively with our Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Teams to successfully hire and onboard new staff into our studios (including facilitating contract requests, setting up interviews and new starter inductions
  • Collaborate with Studio Technical Directors on CPD topics and schedule CPD events (including catering, questionnaires and reading material where required)
  • Provide general administrative support across the studio.


Through your strong working knowledge of individual staff capability, you will work closely with the Associate Managing Principal to drive resourcing decisions and alignment between capability and identified project needs.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience working in a business administration capacity, preferably within the AEC industry
  • Experience working within architecture, interior design or graphic design highly advantageous
  • Strong experience across Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to learn
