The Department of Health in Victoria has a crucial role in shaping the health system. The Timely Emergency Care Collaborative project is an innovative initiative by the Department of Health to enhance emergency care timeliness in the Victorian health system. It involves partnering with multiple organizations for this purpose.

The Collaborative includes three main focuses:

  • Strengthening leadership and implementing a data-driven system to enhance patient flow and emergency care
  • Improving patient flow to reduce wait times for emergency admissions
  • Enhancing efficiency and throughput in the emergency department

How you'll make a difference:

As an Improvement Advisor, you will bring expertise in improvement science to the Collaborative. This role involves contributing to the measurement strategy and advising on theory construction.

Key responsibilities for suitable applicants:

  • Develop foundational project materials, including aims, measurement strategy, and execution plans
  • Provide guidance to participating teams, facilitate shared learning, and harvest successes
  • Utilize improvement measurement principles to monitor progress and identify necessary changes
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and safety policies
  • Participate in meetings for reflection on progress and learning
