About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Programs and Systems Business Partner, you be responsible for monitoring Seqwater's health and safety management systems to ensure we are adequately identifying and managing our risks and that Seqwater's critical control management program is working effectively. The ideal candidate would have an interest in improving organisational systems and behaviours and identifying and implementing projects to improve how Seqwater mitigate these risks.

This role is responsible for:

  • Leading risk management activities to identify hazards and evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of risk control measures, including the identification and implementation of business wide solutions to improve control effectiveness.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of Seqwater's Critical Risk Management Program, identifying and delivering activities, initiatives, and programs to improve critical control effectiveness and improve the programs maturity.
  • Developing and implementing procedures and supporting tools that meet business requirements and comply with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
  • Conducting inspections, assurance activities and analysis of Health, Safety & Wellbeing systems, and risk management performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A formal qualification in Work, Health and Safety or related area.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an equivalent role and industry.
  • Unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, codes of practice and Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating and conducting risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects to achieve agreed benefits.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing health, safety, and wellbeing procedures.

This position has a salary starting at $113, $123, dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
