About the role

  • Oversight of project(s) plans relating to the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program to ensure completion on deadlines
  • Develop and maintain a risk management system within the program by maintenance of a risk register and escalation as appropriate.
  • Assist in the delivery of quality improvement activities relating to the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program by:
  • Risk assessing changes to program implementation and escalating and adapting plans as necessary
  • Produce complex data reports to support the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program quality improvement.
  • Facilitate and maintain QSAMSP stakeholder relationships within the Program.
  • Maintain program/project files in accordance with Queensland Health regulations and policies.
  • Assist with the compilation of project reports
  • Provide high quality administrative and confidential secretarial support to the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and associated boards and committees.
  • Schedule and manage activities of the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program clinical staff ensuring optimal usage of their time
About you

  • Ability to assist with the compilation of program/project information, maintenance of program/project files and the preparation and presentation of management reports.
  • Ability to learn appropriate program/project management techniques, methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to develop the platform for new initiatives in the delivery of healthcare services with the assistance of content experts, and operationalising these in a permanent program.
  • High level oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction and achievement of result including research of, and preparation of a range of documents/correspondence and an ability to work in a team environment developing effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team, with written and oral communication skills of a higher order, to enhance the program's ability in delivering an efficient service.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse work situations, formulate innovative solutions and make recommendations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality administrative, reception and secretariat functions in support of new, innovative projects.
  • Knowledge of, or an ability to acquire knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, in particular Public Sector Management Commission Standards and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management.
