About the Role:


As the Strategy and Reporting Analyst, you will be working within the Development and Analysis team that is responsible for delivering a robust pipeline of renewable energy and firming projects to drive Australia's energy market transition.

AGL plans on delivering 5GW and 12 GW of additional capacity by 2030 and 2035 respectively.


You will be responsible for delivering monthly portfolio reports across the early stage, development and delivery pipeline to key senior leaders across our organisation.

You will be responsible for driving the timely, accurate and consistent delivery of pipeline data and will work collaboratively with the Energy Hubs Project Controls team and Project Managers to gather, consolidate and share information in a presentation format suitable for a senior leadership audience.


You will also support strategy development, review and implementation planning initiatives for the development portfolio, including presentation materials for the key senior leaders, including the Board.


What you'll be doing:

  • Working collaboratively with Project Developers, Project Managers, Project Controls and Project Analysis teams to gather monthly updates and pipeline performance data
  • Ensure that data is captured accurately and consistently for input into monthly reporting for senior leadership teams
  • Effectively communicate project and portfolio level progress and performance data through PowerPoint presentations and Power BI to support decision making at the senior leadership level
  • Engage with key internal stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities for reporting on AGL's reporting platform
  • Provide support to Project Developers and Project Managers on evolving reporting requirements
  • Support Energy Hubs strategy development, strategy planning and implementation, including market, portfolio and pipeline analysis and integration with Enterprise and Business Unit Strategy
  • Provide strategic priority progress updates capturing critical pipeline developments

About You:

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Law, Economic or similar
  • Experience in management consulting is highly regarded
  • A passion for decarbonisation and the energy transition
  • Experience in strategic planning, implementation and reporting
  • An understanding of energy markets, energy project development and delivery is strongly preferred
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
