Pakenham crane trucks is a leading crane trucks service provider.

We are seeking a reliable, focused and committed person to join our fantastic team as a Transport Scheduler on a full time basis at our Hopper crossing Branch.

About the role

The role is primarily to plan and prepare load schedules for delivery.

To achieve this there are the following responsibilities:

  • Schedule fleet for daily deliveries and collection for goods taking into consideration fleet optimization, load configuration and route planning
  • Ensure all vehicles and drivers are fully utilized and runs created in an efficient manner
  • Effective load management to ensure maximum use of fleet
  • Work under the direction of the Transport Manager
  • Liaise with customer service with daily updates
  • Perform department administrative duties
  • Monitor the transport department efficiency and seek ways to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all operational legislation and procedures
  • Knowledge of Main Roads and Traffic Legislation and Chain of Responsibility
Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements
- previous experience as transport scheduler/fleet controller

  • Building industry desirable
  • Previous experience working with trucks and truck drivers is essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of Melbourne Metro and Regional Victorian Areas
  • Good computer skills
