The Role:

Monday - Wednesday: 8am - 4pm

Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide a range of learning experiences that allow for a variety of talent development opportunities, including working with students in small groups in a withdrawal setting, within the class, individually or on-line, as necessary.
  • Provide support and resources for classroom teachers to understand, identify and accommodate the cognitive, social and emotional needs associated with giftedness
  • Liaise with classroom teachers regarding the learning needs of individual students and appropriate teaching strategies and work collaboratively with teachers and coordinators to develop and modify curricula to meet the needs of students
  • Maintain up to date student records, files and database records
  • Maintain, review and update documentation as needed (for example Additional Learning Information, PLP's and programs).
  • Act as spokesperson as required on matters of gifted education within the College and wider community
  • Liaise with and attend relevant Gifted and Talented Network meetings currently Boroondara Gifted Network and VAGTC (Victorian Association of Gifted and Talented Children)
