The Role
***Reporting to the GM Projects, the Project Cost Controller is responsible for controlling the project costs; this includes planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting the project's budget in conjunction with the Project Management Team (PMT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and evaluation of project cost reporting.
  • Effectively converting the project estimate into a construction budget and aligning cost codes.
  • Budgeting, monitoring, controlling & reporting multiple projects.
  • Identifying the critical areas and informing the PMT regarding financial impacts both positive and negative.
  • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure
  • Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress
  • Ensure effective financial project reporting implementation
  • Coordinate and work with the PMT to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting
  • Relevant experience in Cost/Project Controls building up systems and processes in a project environment
  • Multiple cost control system experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities
