Network Operations Analyst NOC - Infrastructure monitoring and support to global customers - Day Shift

Our client is a leading global financial institution with a strong reputation in the industry.

This position is a key role within the global Network Operations Control Center located in Sydney.

They are currently seeking a Network Operations Analyst (NOC Analyst) to join their team and contribute to the efficient operation of their global Infrastructure Monitoring and Support division.

Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, and the role is set to commence promptly.

The Operations Control Center operates round the clock, leading the NOC Analyst to work day shifts from 6am to 6pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with alternating Wednesdays.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in a comparable role as a NOC Operator or Network Analyst, supporting external clients in a 24/7/365 setting.

In addition to the technical skills indicated below, effective communication, exceptional phone etiquette, and a strong customer-centric approach are essential qualities.

Summary of the Role

  • Provide continuous technical support for global infrastructure
  • Over 3 years of experience in overseeing critical infrastructure and managing Incident and Change processes
  • Regularly analyze data to assess performance and highlight areas for enhancement

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Incidents, Changes, and Problems
  • Coordinating with vendors to ensure timely incident resolution and escalation
  • Monitoring traffic, systems, and site processing, addressing or escalating detected anomalies
  • Implementing quarterly Releases and overseeing the routing of customer and central site traffic

Requirements (please ensure you address the following in your application):

  • Relevant IT Degree or similar practical experience
  • Intermediate understanding of routing, switching, tunnelling, and MPLS
  • Extensive post-incident analysis experience
  • Proficient in Networks, MPLS, OSPF, OSI, file transfer, message handling, etc.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Crucially, a commitment to learning, ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, and strong organizational capabilities. The successful candidate will need to be a collaborative team member, resilient, and capable of independent work.
