About the role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Digital Utility team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, collaborating closely with the Digital Utility Project Manager to implement the Sewer Optimisation Strategy.

As the Technical Project Manager, you will oversee the management of field trials for new sensor technologies under consideration by South East Water for deployment in the sewer network. Additionally, you will handle the maintenance of the existing sensor fleet within our sewer network. The Sewer Optimisation Strategy is crucial for the widespread deployment of sensors in the sewer network to prevent any sewer spills within our control. It will aid in determining the optimal number and locations for deploying sensors for real-time sewer network monitoring.

This role involves leading and coordinating trials to meet predetermined schedules, budgets, scopes, qualities, and business requirements. Primarily, you will refine and review trial scopes, engaging with stakeholders to develop field trial plans that outline tasks, contractor involvement, stakeholders, and manage key milestones aligned with the Sewer Optimisation Program.

A problem-solving mindset, coupled with data analysis skills, enables you to drive well-informed decision-making. Additional experience in sewer or confined space environments, or testing IoT sensors, is highly advantageous.
