Nestled in the heart of Brisbane's CBD, the organization boasts a well-established finance team seeking an additional Financial Accountant for a dynamic 6-month contract, aimed at offering vital support during a busy period. Reporting to our esteemed Finance Manager, renowned for fostering transparent communication and offering unwavering support to the team, this opportunity promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

The Position: As a Financial Accountant, your primary focus will be aiding the team in managing business-as-usual activities during a period of heightened demand. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Meticulous preparation and timely submission of financial statements and financial statement notes.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to facilitate the end-of-month accounting process as needed.
  • Profit and loss analysis
  • Cashflow reporting
  • Offering flexible, ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller when the situation demands.

Your Profile:

To excel in this role, you should possess robust financial accounting experience gained within a large commercial organization. Your ability to quickly grasp new information and processes, along with your adaptability in a team-oriented environment, is paramount. Proficiency in Excel is a must, and familiarity with ERP systems will be a valuable asset. This is a hands-on role, ideally suited for a proactive individual eager to make a meaningful impact within an organization. Your exceptional communication skills will be instrumental in building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
