Project Coordinator (ECEC) - Pacific Labour Facility

Project Overview:


The PLF works with DFAT and DEWR to support the administration of the PALM scheme and facilitate opportunities for Australian employers to connect with workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

The PLF is managed by Palladium and has been established as a trusted intermediary in supporting Australia-Pacific circular labour mobility.


Role Overview:


The
Project Coordinator - Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) will be responsible for operational and administrative support to the Project Manager in delivering a planned Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) pilot for the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Project Manager - Aged Care Expansion project, the Project Coordinator will:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to assist in achieving the ECEC pilot objectives, including arranging meetings and events.
  • Direct engagement with participating Approved Employers and other stakeholders to support the overall coordination of the pilot.
  • Lead accurate and efficient management of correspondence, invitations, files, records and databases of contacts.
  • Liaise with various PLF teams to gather information and ensure collaboration and consistency of approach
  • Draft grant agreements, monitor delivery progress, and track expenditure in relation to LLN and training.
  • Draft payment approval forms and collate necessary paperwork for submission to finance ahead of payment
  • Collate, coordinate and provide input into internal and external project progress reports, including monthly financial reporting.
  • Support the Project Manager with whole of program compliance with DFAT policies including Child Protection, Fraud Management, Safeguarding, Risk Management and Value for Money principles.
  • Work with the PLF Communications Team to develop content in relation to the ECEC Project.
  • Other duties which may reasonably be required by the Project Manager consistent with the incumbent's qualifications and experience.
  • Undertake and deliver the outcomes and objectives of the role in accordance with the expected Core Capabilities, Ways of Working and Values of ONE PLF.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline, e.g., Business, Management or relevant discipline.
  • 35 years' work experience in similar project support or management roles.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills, including the ability to work across a broader team and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, particularly in a crosscultural context.
  • Previous exposure to, or an understanding of, Australia's National Training System and the Australian Early Childhood Education and Care sector would be an advantage but not essential.


Due to the evolving nature of our program, it is possible that the incumbent may be expected to undertake duties that fall outside the remit of their original Terms of Reference to ensure the ongoing success of the program.
